Ever hear a song with lyrics stuck in your head but no idea of the title or artist? Google helps, but if you own an Amazon Echo, Alexa makes it even simpler—no phone or browser needed.
This built-in feature, recently highlighted by Lifehacker, lets you search songs directly by lyrics. Just use the voice command “Alexa, what's the song going??” after reciting or humming the snippet.
If Alexa identifies it, she'll share the song title, artist, and start playing it immediately.
Amazon recently published its list of the 50 most requested songs via lyrics on Alexa. Topping the chart is "HandClap" by Fitz and the Tantrums, alongside favorites from Justin Timberlake, Journey, Ed Sheeran, and Queen.
The data also spotlights city-specific trends, featuring Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, New York, and Seattle.
