Indian Game Streaming Leader Loco Raises $9M in Funding Led by PUBG Developer Krafton

India's premier live game streaming platform, Loco, has secured $9 million (₹67 Cr) in funding, led by Krafton, the renowned Korean developer behind PUBG.

Loco, built specifically for India's booming gaming community, offers live streams, game tutorials, and pro tips from top Indian streamers. The platform has seen explosive growth in recent years.

Krafton specializes in PC and mobile games, with a focus on fantasy and battle royale titles. The company has backed ventures like PUBG Corp. and Nodwin Games, and contributed ₹1.5 crores to India's COVID-19 relief efforts.

This $9 million round marks Loco's first major funding, with participation from Axilor Ventures—a startup accelerator—Hiro Capital, 3one4 Capital, and Lumikai. Krafton has previously invested $22.5 million in Haryana-based Nodwin Gaming and launched Battlegrounds Mobile India Early Access for local players.

Loco founders Anirudh Pandita and Ashwin Suresh shared: "Loco is at the forefront of the game streaming revolution in India. Loco continues to gain traction as the preferred platform for top Indian streamers like Scout, Mortal, Jonathan, Mavi, and Ghatak. This funding is poised to accelerate India's esports ecosystem, inspiring young gamers to build professional careers.
