How to create an RSS feed for any YouTube channel

I watch YouTube almost daily and if there's one thing that absolutely annoys me, it's how terrible the subscription system is. I would definitely use it if it was something useful. But is not. So I don't.

In fact, I'd rather each YouTube channel had its own RSS feed that I could subscribe to so I could instantly find out about any new and interesting videos just by looking at my RSS reader. But here's the good news:even though YouTube itself doesn't publish any RSS feeds, you can improvise something for every channel you want to follow.

To illustrate, I'll show you how to create an RSS feed for our own YouTube channel:

  • Visit the main page of the channel..
  • Right click anywhere and select View Source .
  • Search ID de canal externo de datos and looks for the value that comes immediately after. In my case, it is UCfXdejDvNviqilmJ9DvGuow (Do not include citations).
  • Append that value to the end of this URL https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=
  • Send the new URL to your RSS reader.

That's it. You now have an RSS feed for that particular YouTube channel. It's a bit of work if you have dozens or hundreds of channels you want to subscribe to, but it's still a good solution. At least it's possible.
