If you own a Vizio TV with SmartCast support in the US or Canada, the Apple TV app is now available. Vizio sets offer solid value as entry-level options compared to premium brands like Samsung or Sony.
The app provides seamless access to your iTunes rentals and purchases, plus streaming of Apple TV+ with an active subscription.
It also integrates Apple Channels for premium services like CBS All Access, Showtime, and Starz.
For Vizio SmartCast TVs with SmartCast Home from 2016 or newer, new users qualify for a free three-month Apple TV+ trial.
On eligible Vizio TVs, the Apple TV app appears directly on the SmartCast home screen. Simply sign in with your Apple ID—or create one if needed.
The app is free to download, though Apple TV+ requires a $4.99 monthly subscription, which you can cancel anytime.
Apple continues expanding the Apple TV app's reach beyond its ecosystem to platforms like Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and select Samsung and LG TVs.
