Released on PC October 4 and consoles October 16, the Halloween-themed changes on Erangel were a hit, but the new transportation mechanics stole the show. Now, PUBG 14.2 elevates combat and survival with essential new weapons and features.
The Mortar randomly spawns inside buildings alongside its ammo. It deploys only on flat surfaces—excluding buildings, wooden floors, water, or concrete—and fires between 121m and 700m. Once set up, your character automatically crouches for stability.

The legendary M79 returns as a smoke grenade launcher, creating thick smoke screens over large areas to obscure vision and evade foes. Impacting objects beyond 10m triggers an initial smokescreen, followed by a second burst seconds later.
This survival tweak lets DBNO players stay afloat longer. Swimming speed matches normal rates, and teammates can revive you on shore or while floating. Avoid submerging, as it rapidly drains HP—stick to the surface.
Chickens now roam the Taego map, scattering at the sound of footsteps or grenades. This immersive audio cue sharpens enemy awareness, adding tension and fun to matches.
Normal, custom, and ranked lobbies adopt a PGC 2021 theme, replacing the Halloween design. The Esports section gets an upgrade with full in-game PGC schedules.
