Sean has journeyed through Southeast Asia, China, the USA, and Canada. Travel broadens perspectives and enriches his portfolio. Raised in the foothills of southern Alberta, his early years involved exploring nature and honing basic photography skills. Relocating to Vancouver Island in early 2008 ignited his passion for its boundless landscapes. Though global adventures remain central, the island is now home. Sean reflects: "There are still more trips to be made! I have an ever-growing list of places and countries that must be in my portfolio!"
Proficient in both film and digital, Sean favors panoramic film photography—a nod to his lifelong habit of carrying a camera. Early digital experiments involved stitching images for wider views, but he shifted primarily to film, embracing the deliberate pace over instant results. "I am rewarded not just by the end results, but by looking back and realizing that every lesson I learned in front of the lens was put into practice even before I fired the shutter," he shares. "After minutes, hours, or whole days of focusing on lighting, contrast, and mood, seeing the final image is just one of many rewards."
In early 2019, Sean opened his gallery in downtown Victoria, BC. As one of Canada's fastest-rising landscape photographers, he surpassed a $500,000 sales milestone and earned features in local magazines.
