WarnerMedia and AT&T Launch Ride: Premium In-Car Streaming Service

WarnerMedia has teamed up with AT&T to introduce Ride, a innovative streaming service designed specifically for in-car entertainment.

Ride is accessible through dedicated Android and iOS apps on smartphones and tablets connected to AT&T's in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspots.

What is Ride?

Ride, WarnerMedia's latest streaming offering, keeps passengers entertained during car rides. Launched in partnership with AT&T, it's available at no extra cost exclusively to subscribers of AT&T's unlimited data connected car plans.

Non-subscribers among AT&T customers can opt for a $20 monthly portable Wi-Fi hotspot plan for their vehicle.

The service streams news, sports, and premium content from trusted brands including Bleacher Report, Boomerang, Cartoon Network, CNN, TBS, TNT, and more. Expect favorites like Looney Tunes and Rick and Morty to be available for viewing.

No login required—your session authenticates automatically via the car's Wi-Fi. Note that offline downloads aren't supported, as Ride focuses solely on real-time in-car viewing.

Ride supports AT&T in-vehicle wireless across 27 vehicle brands, such as Audi, BMW, Ford, Land Rover, and Toyota, with General Motors as the launch lead partner.

In an AT&T press release, Santiago Chamorro, vice president of GM Global Connected Services, highlighted the service's potential.

Where Can I Get Ride?

Download Ride now from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

Key requirements include:

  • A vehicle compatible with AT&T's in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot
  • A qualifying AT&T trial or unlimited in-car Wi-Fi plan
  • Your device connected to the in-car Wi-Fi hotspot
  • The WarnerMedia Ride app installed on your device

Currently app-based only, WarnerMedia plans future integration with dashboard and headrest displays.

AT&T Also Powers HBO Max

HBO Max, another WarnerMedia streaming platform, will join AT&T's automotive data packages next year.

It combines HBO originals and movies with WarnerMedia's extensive library, streamlining access amid various HBO services.
