Xbox Game Pass will include EA Play at no additional cost

Often referred to as the “Netflix of gaming,” Xbox Game Pass gives you plenty of games for one small monthly fee. Now, you'll get even more for your money, as Microsoft has announced the inclusion of EA Play in the Pass at no additional cost.

What will EA Play bring to Xbox Game Pass?

Microsoft made the announcement on the official Xbox YouTube channel, which showcased what its partnership with EA would mean for Xbox fans.

This new collaboration means that Xbox Game Pass holders will unlock another 60 games developed by EA at no additional cost to them. Just in case you (somehow) get to the end of your Game Pass catalog, you'll soon have plenty more to play.

There is, however, a slight catch; the EA Play add-on is only available to those who pay for an Ultimate membership or the PC Game Pass. If you don't have either, you'll need to upgrade to get the EA Play catalog.

If you're ready to get EA Play on your Xbox or PC, you'll have access to the library starting holiday 2020.

This is great news for people who use the Xbox All Access plan to pay for their consoles, as the plan includes 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Additionally, when Microsoft announced the Xbox Series X release date and price, the company confirmed that Xbox All Access will also be available for the next generation of consoles. That means people on the Xbox Series X All Access plan will have plenty to play from day one.

Get even more value with Xbox Game Pass

As the next-gen console wars begin to brew, Microsoft is keen to give Xbox fans great value for their money. And who knows, maybe other companies will use Game Pass in the future?

This isn't the first time Microsoft has enhanced Xbox Game Pass with value at no additional cost. Previously, the company allowed Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to try out the new Project xCloud.
