Act 2, launching after Act 1 ends on February 28, will prioritize strengthening the game's foundation. Expect no new agents or maps—instead, the team is honing in on agent and map balance, player behavior tools, and ranked matchmaking for a healthier competitive ecosystem.
With acts typically spanning two months, players can anticipate this addition around early May. No details yet on abilities or role; it would mark the 19th agent overall and ninth since beta.
Speculation points to a controller. Only four exist now—Brimstone and Omen see minimal pro play—while other roles gained fresh faces since Astra's patch 2.04 debut over a year prior.
Recent additions like Chamber (10-20% pick rate in EMEA VCT qualifiers, per THESPIKE.GG) and Neon (qualifiers in NA, Japan, Korea, but no Champs debut) haven't shaken up pro metas yet.
