Apple's App Store generates billions annually, powering over 1.6 billion active devices worldwide. This led to the game's swift removal from the App Store.
Epic Games, the North Carolina-based developer behind Fortnite, has been locked in legal battles with Apple and Google over their 30% app store fees. Epic offered players the choice: pay directly for lower costs or via the store.
