The legendary 90s French comedy trio Les Inconnus is staging a triumphant return together. This buzzworthy announcement has fans nostalgic for their heyday salivating, while intriguing younger audiences new to their genius.
Will we finally see Les Inconnus reunited? Didier Bourdon, Bernard Campan, and Pascal Légitimus had all of France in stitches throughout the 90s. As comedy superstars, their popularity was unmatched.
Though they've pursued separate paths for years—staying close friends—reuniting has always been the dream. Diverse solo projects aside, that wish is now coming true.
In a recent RTL interview, Didier Bourdon confirmed the plans. It kicks off with a TV special of classic archives, echoing La télé des Inconnus and reunion formats like those for Harry Potter or Friends.
A new film is also in development, though not directed by the trio themselves, unlike The 3 Brothers or The Bet.
The highlight: a stage comeback on the horizon. "We want to do something, if the timing aligns," Bourdon shared. "We each have individual projects, but now's the moment—especially live on stage. It's daunting, but it's in the air for sure." Note: They last performed together in 1993.
One big question: What will Les Inconnus' comeback entail?
"We could refresh our classic sketches and brainstorm fresh ideas around the table," Bourdon teases, adding: "We're past 30 now—no more endless physical gags. Think screens, innovative staging, something truly original." More details by month's end, on his birthday, January 22nd.
