Epic Games has introduced Shield Kegs, a innovative healing item that transforms gameplay in Chapter 3. Throw it down to deploy a Shield Sprinkler that automatically restores shields over time—perfect for covering player vulnerabilities during intense matches.
Shield Kegs spawn from Chests, Supply Drops, Floor Loot, and can be purchased from NPCs like Lt. John Llama and Scientist using Gold Bars.
Once activated, it replenishes 2 shields every 0.40 seconds for a 30-second duration, totaling 150 shields. It's a one-time use item designed for strategic deployment.
Winterfest wraps up on January 6 at 9 a.m. ET. Players could unbox 14 gifts—including two outfits like Sergeant Winter—complete Winter's Quests for XP, and unlock rewards in Creator-made Winterfest games. Log into the Epic Games Launcher for an extra free outfit redeemable in the Item Shop.
