National leagues worldwide are in full swing, feeding top teams into the PMGC 2021. In a significant update from the PUBG Mobile esports scene, North American squad PassionFruit Esports has been disqualified from PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) NA Season 2 due to misconduct.
PMPL North America Season 2 is underway, starting October 5, 2021, with 20 teams vying for a share of the $150,000 prize pool. Competition runs at League Stadium until October 24, 2021. Amid the action, PassionFruit Esports was removed from the event.

Invited directly after competing in PMPL NA Season 1, PassionFruit's roster featured Fury, Sleepless, Rage, and Juancho. After Rage and Juancho departed, the team fielded only three players, breaching the four-player rule. In Week 2, they skipped all matches, another clear violation.
The disqualification was announced via the official PUBG Mobile Esports North America Twitter account, citing unprofessional behavior under rule 6.3.14:
"If a Team Member or Team registers for, or agrees to participate in, any Official Competition, he or she may not, without the prior written consent of the Tournament Organizer, drop out or refuse to participate in any Tournament Game or other related event held during the applicable Season. An unexcused absence from a Tournament Game after the registration process is complete may result in sanctions, as provided in Section 6.4 (Disciplinary Action and Sanctions)"
No replacement team will join; the tournament proceeds with 19 teams. Originally split into five groups, PassionFruit was in Group D.
