Garena Free Fire remains a dominant force in the mobile battle royale scene, captivating millions with its fast-paced action. In this breakdown, we dive into the latest patch notes for the upcoming OB30 update, confirming another nerf to the popular Chrono character.
Garena regularly rolls out OB updates to introduce fresh features, squash bugs, and balance characters. The OB30 patch launches tomorrow, September 28th, promising significant changes, enhancements, and fixes to elevate the gameplay experience.

Chrono, the standout character from Garena's collaboration with soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, boasts the Time Turner ability. This creates a protective force field that blocks 600 damage from enemies, allowing allies and players to seek cover and fire back safely from within.
However, in OB30, this ability receives further adjustments: cooldown increased by 10 seconds and active duration reduced by 0.5 seconds. Post-update, maximum movement speed inside the field drops to 10%, duration shortens to 7.5 seconds (from 8), and cooldown reaches 180 seconds at max level.

This marks the second major nerf for Chrono, following substantial tweaks in the OB27 update. Prior to OB27, it boosted movement speed by 30%, lasted 9 seconds, and had just a 40-second cooldown.
