It's been around for over 20 years, but only recently started offering original content.

These are some of the best Netflix TV dramas released each year so far, with a few more new ones coming soon.

Here is the ultimate list of TV shows on Netflix US

KIM'S CONVENIENCE

Kim's Convenience is a much lighter look at Korean Canadians. It's basically an immigrant family that runs a convenience store in Toronto.

It's actually quite funny, I watched it all in one day.

Each episode is only 20-30 minutes long, but it's still very enjoyable.

Simu Liu is a great protagonist and he is also very funny, along with many other supporting characters.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a dose of laughter.

Currently it is in season 5 on Netflix.

Before moving on to the next TV show on the list, make sure that sometimes while logging into Netflix you will encounter a Netflix error.

This is most likely due to the Netflix geo-restriction in your country which can be solved by using a Premium VPN.

A VPN is software that changes your IP address.

After changing your IP address, you can access Netflix US from different countries including US, UK, Canada, France, etc.

SEX EDUCATION

Sex Education with Gillian Anderson and Asa Butterfield who both star in the series.

This show is about the students, parents and teachers at Moordale High School, where the son of a sex therapist played by Gillian Anderson teams up with another student to open their own sex ed clinic at school.

This show is funny while exploring current issues around sexual and gender identity.

Currently it's in Season 3 on Netflix

MANIFEST

The Manifesto is basically a French Mystery Thriller, which is well done and keeps you hooked for its 40 minute episodes.

This show shows an airliner that disappears for five years, but after landing without any of the passengers or crew remembering anything, they have to deal with the consequences.

This will appeal to you if you like mystery thrillers and suspenseful horror shows. With one of the biggest continuity twists I've ever seen on a TV show (even more shocking than the walking dead).

Currently it is in season 3 on Netflix.

THE CHAIR

The chair is a difficult position to get into, but not for the reasons you might think. Nobody talks about what really happens in The Chair. This is a show about a college English department head.

The show is very funny and full of talented actors who have been on a ton of other great shows. If you haven't watched it already, it's a worthy addition to your Netflixing queue!

Sandra Oh is a fantastic actress and you will see her in so much more than this series. In fact, watching The Chair would be a great way to get your Sandra Oh fix while you wait for her next big role on TV show Killing Eve.

Currently it is in season 1 on Netflix.

ALL-NEW CHERRY FLAVOR

Brand New Cherry is a mini-series. This is Lisa Nova who wants to make a movie. She goes to LA to pitch her idea, but it doesn't go the way she wanted too.

This is a thriller steeped in horror. You can guess what happens next, but you won't know for sure.

The style of this series is interesting and can bring to mind the films of David Lynch or Nicolas Winding Refn.

In the second episode, you will know if you like it or not.

Currently it is in season 1 on Netflix

30 ROCK

It was a pleasant surprise. Netflix has all seven seasons of 30 Rock, which is a great way to fill the void left by The Office.

This NBC comedy follows showrunner Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) and her cohorts as they attempt to revitalize their Saturday Night Live-style sketch series with the help of obnoxious movie star Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan).

It's a surprisingly clever comedy that can be both touching and silly.

If that sounds like a show about making TV shows, it is. But it's also fun and hilarious! It's easier to watch because there are different characters that bring different kinds of humor.

Alec Baldwin has smart, fast lines, while Jack McBrayer brings more slapstick humor.

Currently he is in season 7 on Netflix

I THINK YOU SHOULD GO WITH TIM ROBINSON

I Think You Should Leave is a show about people who don't know how to behave. It is short and only takes 15 minutes to watch one episode.

People usually do something wrong and then they make it worse. Some people like this show but some people don't because the jokes are weird and hard to understand.

The show has weird episode titles like "I need a wet paper towel" and "They have a pastry shop over there Susan where the cakes are just gorgeous".

Currently it is in season 2 on Netflix

LUPIN

A TV show named Lupin is about a man who was wrongfully imprisoned.

His son, Assane Diop, is the protagonist of this show and he must help his father get out of prison.

This son is called Assane Diop and he lives in France.

Decades after his father's suicide, Assane plots revenge against the employer's family.

He does this using skills inspired by Lupin's character.

The director of The Incredible Hulk Louis Leterrier is behind this series with only five episodes available at the moment. It won't take you long to finish it.

Currently it is on part 2 on Netflix

TOOTH SWEET

With less than ten episodes, Daredevil doesn't even come close to being a superhero series.

This post-apocalyptic fantasy series follows a half-human, half-deer boy on a quest for a new life in the ruins of America with his armored protector.

Don't miss Sweet Tooth if you're looking for something that's just for cold family watching but has an edge.

If you like the TV show, you should read Jeff Lemire's comics.

Currently it is in season 1 on Netflix

LOVE, DEATH AND ROBOTS

The comedy-drama Love, Death, and Robots is back for its second (and shorter) season of episodes. The quality varies from episode to episode, but overall this show has a lot going for it. Concepts range from comedy to drama, with a dark undertone at the heart of the series – what if a household cleaner starts attempting to murder its owner?

What would happen if a yogurt tried to take over the world? A woman flees an assassin after witnessing a grisly murder in one episode.

Love, Death, and Robots is an excellent series. It's short, which means you can watch it quickly. If you only have time for the best episodes, then these are the ones to watch.

Currently it is in season 2 on Netflix

CONCLUSION

Netflix has a wide variety of TV series to watch anytime.

The best way to find something you'll enjoy is to explore the different genres and read reviews about each show.

If you're looking for recommendations, here are three shows we think offer something unique:Love, Death and Robots; I think you should go with Tim Robinson; Sweet tooth.
