Fortnite's patch 18.40 in Chapter 2 Season 8 brings back a fan-favorite vehicle: the Salvaged BRUTE. As experienced players know, this mech drops onto the island to help battle the Cube Queen's forces.
The original BRUTE—a rocket-firing mechanical powerhouse—debuted in August 2019 during Season X. This guide breaks down the Salvaged BRUTE's features and how to access it reliably.

"Queen Cube has deployed her strongest warriors yet. To retaliate, the war effort produces its own big guns. Meet the salvaged BRUTE."
The Salvaged BRUTE is a team-operated vehicle in Fortnite Battle Royale, added in Chapter 2 Season 8. With the Sideways war heating up, 2-3 mechs spawn at random island locations per match—a toned-down version of the classic BRUTE requiring a driver and shooter.
The driver manages movement, ground stomps for area damage, leaps, and dashes. The shooter fires from a multi-missile launcher and a shotgun weaker than the original's.

To deploy them, donate Gold Bars at Donation Tables supporting the war effort. Fill the three slots (up to 50 bars each) to unlock mechs in-game. Destroyed ones respawn as replacements, ensuring ongoing access.
