The v18.30 patch advances the war effort storyline, adding the Combat Pistol as announced in the Official Blog: "As part of the war effort, you voted with your bars to fund the Combat Assault Rifle... Now another Combat class weapon is going to war against the Cubes. Already manufactured, the new Combat Pistol is on the island now!"
Pistols use light bullets, deliver a 2x headshot multiplier, and shine at close to medium range, with limited long-range viability. Most are semi-automatic.
Matching the Combat Assault Rifle's design, it offers precise spread and superior power but packs heavy recoil—perfect for skilled players who can control it.
Look for Combat Pistols in chests, ground loot, fishing spots, floor loot, or drops from Guardians. The vaulted standard Pistol has been fully replaced island-wide.
